Blended Take Rate Calculator

Fee burden is rarely one rate. Most sellers carry a mix of marketplace, storefront, and higher-drag lanes that together create a weighted take rate. Use this calculator to see the mix-level fee burden instead of guessing from one channel.

  • Estimate the weighted take rate across multiple lanes
  • Translate the blend into monthly take dollars
  • See how much extra drag expensive lanes create above the cheapest path

Calculate blended take rate

Enter monthly revenue and the revenue share plus take rate for three lanes. They can represent Amazon, Shopify, financed checkout, wholesale, TikTok Shop, or any other mix you want to compare.

Three blended take scenarios.

Formula

What the blend is exposing

Blended take rate = Weighted average of take rates across the revenue mix
Monthly take amount = Monthly gross revenue × Blended take rate

This is a mix-level fee model, not a margin model. It gives you the weighted revenue haircut before product, fulfilment, and ads are even considered, which makes it a good first pass for understanding how expensive the commercial stack has become.

Where blended fee burden gets missed

  • Teams quote one channel rate while the business is operating in three.
  • Expensive lanes look small in isolation but heavy in the weighted blend.
  • Revenue grows while the commercial haircut quietly widens underneath.
